ABOUT
Informed by Evidence. Shaped by Life. Offered with Heart.
A key role of a doula is to light the way for you as you discover, harness and delight in the power you have to birth, nurture and nourish your baby. All of these abilities are already within you - I am here to support you as you take hold of them. I will mirror your strength back to you with confidence and trust. My wish is for you to feel held but free.
With today's far-flung families, we often miss out on the traditional support of mothers, grandmothers, aunts and sisters who during a birth would provide not only empathy, encouragement, advice and understanding, but also a myriad of physical needs like a wipe of the brow, a shoulder to holler into, a sip of tea or some welcome counter pressure. My job is to fill this role with a nature that is strong and steadfast, yet mutable enough to fit your unique and ever-changing needs as a laboring mother. I hope to light your way with encouragement, information, and a deep trust in your ability.
As a mother of three coupled with my training and experience as a doula, I am uniquely positioned with both the expert skills and hard-earned wisdom to offer compassionate support for birth and the postpartum periods. I “doula” differently - empathy, clarity and lived experience is at the core.
supporting families of all shapes and sizes since 2023 in Northeast Florida
About Me
I have lived in Florida all my life. My happy place is by the ocean listening to the waves. I married my college sweetheart and together we are raising three beautiful, wild boys.
I became fascinated by the magic and mechanics of birth during my first pregnancy more than 10 years ago. I had an emergency c-section followed by medicated and unmedicated vaginal births in 2016 and 2019. For all three, I had the same doula by my side sharing her 30+ years of love and wisdom but it wasn’t without challenges or hardship.
To be honest, I struggled. A lot. And I continued my pursuit into my own deep transformational understanding of what being a mother means. Finding out there are at least a million ways to be a good mom and NO possible way to be a perfect one. Still through this time of tremendous growth and change, the birth world was calling me.
I formalized a decade's worth of personal education and training in 2023 and became officially certified with the International Childbirth Education Association. I now carry the Birth Doula (ICBD) credential as well as a credential from ProDoula as a Certified Postpartum & Infant Care Doula (P&ICD).
Aside from parenting my sons, it is my biggest privilege and joy to serve families, especially mothers, in this vulnerable time, and I look forward to knowing and serving you during your journey.

Collaboration with the Care Team
I firmly believe it is the right of the birthing person to choose whatever path is right for them. Every body, baby, and pregnancy is different.
This is the essence of shared decision-making in healthcare according to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). Where the Patient, their Partner and their Provider collaborate to make decisions that are best for each unique situation together. Safety is always the primary goal but your experience and autonomy are critcal too.
Supporting you to receive this level of care helps increase the likelihood that your individual values and priorities are respected. And that improves outcomes.
If you choose me to be by your side, my promise is to help you and your partner bring your vision to life. Knowing birth can be unpredictable, I will do everything I can to ensure you feel prepared, safe, and empowered every step of the way.
